(b) Government has had several meetings with Government of Assam at the level of the Chief Ministers and at the level of the Chief Secretaries of both States and between the Deputy Commissioners/Superintendents of Police of the concerned districts. The last Chief Ministers level meting was held at Gauhati on 22-4-2003. The meeting reiterated the decision to maintain status quo along the Assam - Meghalaya border. This was followed by the meeting between the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Ri-Bhoi, Jaintia Hills and Karbi Anglong District on 13-06-02 and then the meeting between the CEMs of Jaintia Hills and Karbi Anglong Autonomous District Councils on 21-05-2003. In all these meetings the problem relating to the border areas were discussed. |
  (b) Financial and Technical support to various Sports Associations, setting up of sports infrastructure in several parts of the State etc. ST 40% marks and above 5.
